Has this happened to anyone?

I'm 28 years old and have been in a relationship off-and-on for 9 years. We have never had protected sex, but I haven't gotten pregnant. My period started on Nov 10th and we were intimate from Nov 22nd to Dec 1st, which is the time I should have been ovulating. However, my period came as normal on Dec 9th. What are my chances of being pregnant?

I have always been the type who tires easily, so I can't tell if it's any more than usual. I also have had problems with frequent urination, so that can't tell me either. I'm not nauseous and I only have sudden, sharp, shooting pains in my breasts (it could be my imagination)...no enlargement or swelling.

Is there hope?

There IS hope! My first month of pregnancy, I had a "period" - but it was unlike any other period I've ever had. I'm the most regular person most people know because ever since starting my period 2 days after my 9th birthday, my period has come exactly 29 days after my last period. Never late, never early.

I did want to say something about the pain you said you have in your breasts. Even before finding out I'm pregnant, I often had these sharp pains in both of my breasts that often kept me up at night and were sometimes so sharp they took my breath away. It began to concern me, so I did a self exam and to my terror, I found a lump. I actually found a few of them. I told my doctor about them and the pain right away. I went in for my first OB appointment, had a breast exam....and what do ya know? I had fibrocystic breasts. All it means is "lumpy breasts" or "breasts full of cysts." I had 7 cysts. Thank God it's nothing serious. My OB said that they usually go away on their own and the only real side effect is pain. Pregnancy makes the pain worse because there's obvious swelling occurring, so it could be a definite pregnancy symptom. I just thought I'd let you know about this because even though I know now that it won't really harm me, it still scares the **** out of me.

I hope this is your month - try testing with first urine in a few days and let us know how it goes! Good luck and baby dust to ya!
