Have a horrible cold at 8w pregnant

So, my 18 month old step son came back from Memorial day with my sister in law, went swimming and had a blast, A day later thought, he starts getting a horrible cold, congestion chest congestion and coughing. And now i have the same thing. So my question really is, anybody know of a childrens medicine that i can give an 18 month old for cold symptoms, all the medicine i have found are for the ages of atleast 2 and up, i mean he weighs 30 pounds but none of the medicine otc say i can give it to a kid younger then 2. Also what can i take? I know they say Tylenol is safe during pregnancy but i have a really sensitive stomach and acetaminophen always upsets my stomach really bad. I have really bad chest congestion and coughing.  If anyone had any suggestions for either of us i'd be so grateful!

I got a very bad cold at 8 wks pregnant Dr told me I had to suffer through it. I bought a warm steam inhaler which helped with the congested nose and soar throat. I took robotusin DM for the cough but didn't work. Dr finally perscribed cough syrup after 2 weeks.

i know first hand you definitely need to speak with your OB/Pediatrician to be sure...but here are the meds that My doctor told me I could take:

Tylenol, saline nose drops, robitussin DM, Dimetapp DM or Sudafed? Hope this helps you a little....as far as your child at home...I would definitely speak with my Pediatrician...there are too many things that arent safe at all!
