Have i lost my plug?

Hello Ladies,

Today i found a browny, yellowy stain in my underwear. I am 39weeks today and i'm not sure what to do!
Baby is active and has been giving me painful twinges but they don't last long and are so far apart.

Should i ring my midwife?
Have i lost my plug?

Any advice?

Well, when i went to the hospital sunday, I had an examination to check if the sack had ruptured. It hadn't but they didn't say if i was dialating or not.

My partner thinks that i'm just worrying about nothing like last time but i'm nervous, scared and confused as this is my first and it took us a year and a half to conceive with help. I thought i'd never get to be a mum but i've got this tiny baby inside me and i just don't want anything to go wrong!

I know, it is hard! This is my 2nd child and still hard cause I never had BH or any sign of labor with my 1st until I was induced and they broke my water and then I lost my mucus plug. It is very confusing. I don't think you would be bothering your midwife to just put a call in though. As for dialating, contractions usually cause this but its hard to say. Have they checked you at any of your appointments?

I'm not sure if i'm concerned. I went to hospital last sunday night as i thought that my waters had broke but turned out that i was just urinating loads due to the pressure of baby's head on my bladder.
I don't want to bother them again if it is nothing to worry about!

I never felt the mucus pass, by the time i found it, it was dry!
Could i be dialating? I get backache alot and painful pressure downstairs.

I wish i had something to compare this too!

Hmm, my plug looked like a pink mucussy glob... kinda gross. I have heard some dark spotting in the end can happen... from the cervix? I would call midwife if you are concerned though.
