Hcg levels don't match ultrasound

Hello I am 23 years old and this is my second pregnancy. I went to the doctor last week and they told me that I had reallhigh HCG levels they were 17000 which I guess told them that I was at around 2 and a  half months. But when I went to have a internal ultrasound they told me I was only around 5 weeks or less. Now I am really worried is there a problem with this?

at 5w3d my last pregnancy my levels were 11000 and at 5w6d they were 32000. I not have a healthy 2 1/2 year old to show for it! Its not really what the level is but rather that it doubles every 48-72 hours like its supposed to. :)
