Heart Shaped Uterus/Breech Baby

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone out there has a heart shaped uterus/dip in their uterus and has given birth naturally whether the baby is breech or not? Did your baby eventually turn by itself? Was your babies placenta low lying aswell? I'd love to hear your stories to give me some hope! I also know that I'm at risk of preterm labour with a heart shaped uterus. Did you carry to full term? Thank you! :)

What type of abnormal uterus do u have? I have a bicornuate uterus. Yes I was nervous at first because of all the precautions. But I'm currently 28 weeks. I had my cervix stitch at 14 weeks. I take a shot everyweek called 17 p. considering the doctor has no way of knowing if I have incompetence cervix or preterm labor from my previous pregnancies. The shot covers the bases. Some woman find it helpful . I have. I would love 2 stay n contact with u. But just have a good faith and suggest some of these things 2 your ob. What is your email?

Having a heart shaped uterus does put you at *some* increased risk of preterm labor or a fetal malpresentation (such as a breech baby).   It depends on if there is actually a septum inside the uterus, and how much of the uterus is divided by the septum.   Sometimes there isn't much of a septum at all.

Certainly many, many women deliver at full term with a baby in the proper, head first position.

Its just something to be aware of.

Did they tell you what type of anomalie you have? There's several different kinds of heart shaped uterus'. I just finally got the clearance that I'm an accuate which tells us I shouldn't have a problem and should be able to carry full term without baby being breech. There's some really good websites that describe the types.

I'd keep the concern in the back of my mind in order to be prepared if the baby comes early, but frankly wouldn't sweat it.  Sorry to have misspelled "breech," I know better.  lol

I have a heart-shaped uterus and carried to full term.  A septum is soft and flexible and the baby pushes it aside as he grows, unless it divides the uterus entirely into two chambers.  My son was not breach.
