Heart palpitations

Anybody else have increased heart palpitations during pregnancy? My job is kind of stressful and I probably don't stay well hydrated bc I'm so busy so I'm thinking that's why I had palpitations a few times today but I notice them more lately. No fainting or numbness anywhere either. I checked my blood pressure after and it was about 132/89 so a bit high but again im thinking stress related/ exertion at work. I don't have any heart conditions that I am aware of. The dr at my work said I shouldn't be concerned so I'm just wondering if anyone else experienced this. I am 9 weeks pregnant tomorrow btw.

I got increased heart palpatations & increased bp & heart rate around week 7. My dr had to adjust my bp med twice within 4 weeks. She ended up putting me on a new beta blocker. It's normal
to experience the increase bc your blood volume increases & your heart actually gets bigger bc you're pumping more blood. Continue to monitor it & check with your dr.

Ok thanks. I havent been drinking any caffeine but an occasional glass of cola and yesterday I didn't have any. I had heart palpitations rarely prior to pregnancy and I figured they are anxiety related but I had them more yesterday and recently so I was just curious. None today. Thanks ladies for ur responses.

I got this around 16 weeks with my previous pregnancy.  My OB sent me to my primary care doctor for a EKG.  It was normal but I did have a heart murmur which wasn't there before.  My doctor told me that it's Fairly common to develop heart murmurs during pregnancy and they go away post partum.  I'm 13wks now and so far I've not had this problem again yet.

I have and it was just a symptom of pregnancy I was also getting breathless. They did do some funny tests on me though mainly because of the breathlessness. If you get worse speak to the dr again to put your mind at rest

I've not had this myself, but I've heard of it. Do you drink caffeine? I know that can cause it, and eliminating or cutting it out could help. Fatigue and lack of sleep are also known to make it much worse. Stress of course can also cause this as well. Usually they're common, so if your doctor isn't concerned you shouldn't be either. Good luck on your pregnancy!
