Heart shaped uterus treatment

I have a heart shaped or bicornuate uterus. I understand what it is and have read the risks/complications. From what I have read there are various levels of severity but I do not know what mine is as my midwife refuses to send me for and ultrasound until I am closer to 24 weeks! I am almost 15 now. Anyone else with this what prenatal care did u receive? More frequent ultrasounds? Cervical cerclage? Inthink I am going to switch to another doc because she is very relaxed about something that seems like it should be high risk!

It does put your pregnancy in more of the high risk category, but certainly it does not necessarily mean that something bad will happen.

I do agree with you that at LEAST one consult with a high risk specialist would be prudent.  Then, if he/she feels it's ok to watch and wait, you'll feel much better about it.

Best,
