High HCG levels

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for advice or similar stories of anyone who's had quite high hcg levels. I am supposed to be 5 and a half weeks pregnant and my hcg levels are above 80000. I had to have a series of tests to ensure the pregnancy was viable and the baby was still developing and all is looking great! Has anyone else had quite high levels like this with a single pregnancy or is it likely to be twins??

I am carrying twins and at 5 weeks along my HCG was only 8,000. It was high but not THAT high. They thought that it could be either eptopic or mutiples. Turns out it was two little girls and we are now 26 weeks along. I wouldnt worry too much about your numbers - every woman and every pregnancy is different.

Maji, I dont think its true that in Canada they dont tell you the numbers..  it may depend on your doctor, if you ask to have your beta hcg tested, etc.

When I was pregnant, my doctor tested my HCG and told me the numbers everytime

I have a scan this Thursday. My husband's family has a history of twins. I guess I'll have to wait and see!
