High blood pressure n protein means?

So my midwife seemed a bit worried, my blood pressure was higher than normal and i had protein on my pee stick thing, she took blood ryte then n there to check my uric levels etc why?and wants to come visit me in two days to check my blood pressure, she also booked me in for a scan to check, why would she be checking my uric levels for? Im 39+2.     :)

I feel fine, she comes over eaely in the morning hopefully has some results, i feel fine tho

Is your midwife getting back to you today?If you are concerned and not feeling to good i would phone them or phone the doctor

I guess shes just waiting for results maybe, actually i have been geting blurred vission in mornings i just assumed i may need reading glasses or my body lacking some sort of vitamin

They check your blood because that shows up how bad and the first signs of it actually in your system.Have you got any swelling,Disturb vision or headache?I am high risk for pre-eclampsia complications so if my bp goes high with protein they would keep me in hospital.I cant understand why if your bp etc is showing pre-eclampsia why she just is not inducing you as you as you are so close to giving birth anyway.

not necessarily, you could have beginning stages of it. some people do get it at the very end of their pregnancy while others get it early on. thats why they check our blood pressure and urine at all of our visits

I guess im more worryed because she looked worried more, wouldnt that preeclamsia of been detected alot earlyer tho?

She's probably checking everything as a precaution cuz higher blood pressure and protein in your urine is a sign of preeclampsia. She is gona keep a close eye on you even though you are 39+2 as a precaution due to that. I wouldn't worry too much since you are so close to your due date
