Hospital tour

So I have two hospitals to choose from. One is literally 3 minutes from my house, the other is in the medical center. I wanted the medical center because I feel like I want the best care, especially since I have to be cut open again. But just for the heck of it I went to the hospital around the corner to see if I can do a tour of Labor and delivery so that I can choose accordingly.
The receptionist was a rude dumb *****. And she was like we are not giving you a tour unless you are here to register. So I politely walked out! Medical Center it is! They have the best hospitals anyway!
So are hospitals only allowed to give you a tour if you are certain that's where you will deliver?, that seem so backwards!

What a rude b****, does it not occur to her what the purpose of the tour is for? I totally agree with @RN_JC, try speaking to a superior- might not fire her but hopefully set her straight to have her facts together. Just a thought. ;)

I really wanted to report her but I just let it slide. She shouldn't have that job! I think she was really rude because I look so young, but I am 23 and can choose to have kids if I want! Ugh. She said " let me tell you how this works, you register, then you tour." I was like ok..... So I have to have my baby here? She says "sure do if you want to take a tour." Ugh ***** bye!

No! You should have asked to speak with the Hospital Admin. You can say that you were considering delivering there and wanted to take a tour of the facilities before registering. I'd go back to complain just to get her a s s fired.
