When this baby is born there will be six of us in our 2bedroom-me , hubby n kids. I am in band 3 for housing which means another 4-5year waiting for a three bed. I am already on council! Its all a joke. We really are holding out on going into private because then we would haveto claim housing benefit- there's no way we could afford around £1400 a month plus everything else on his wage. Our housing system is shite! Good luck :-)

My hubby and I live in my parents basement. Both boys have their own room upstairs but my 2 yr old will be sharing his when baby comes. Its gonna be rough. Section 8 housing is closed to new applicants due to having too many as it is so we cant even apply for that.

My boyfriend left me when I was 3 months pregnant so I was forced to move back home with my mom in her 2 bedroom house. Baby and I will have to share a room. You just have to make the best of your situation. It'll be tough. "It will all be okay in the end, and if its not okay, it's not the end" that really got me through a lot. Keep your head up.

The good thing is,  you won't need a full size baby bed for months.  You can actually just empty out a deep dresser drawer,  put a firm foam pad in the bottom of it and place it in the corner of the room and that makes a  cradle your baby will be fine in for the first couple months.  Takes up almost no room.
