How accurate is a pregnancy test after 6 weeks?

Hi, I got really drunk six weeks ago and cant remember if i had sex with this guy or not. I was a virgin before so i thought i would have felt it the next day or something which i didnt. Anyway, i got my period eleven days after the incident, and now four weeks later, my period is late. I took a pregnancy test the day i was due my period and it was negative. How accurate is the pregnancy test going to be if i took it six weeks after the incident? I took it the day i should have got my period and i heard they are only accurate if you take them a couple days after your missed period? Please help

at that point if you were pregnant then you should get a positive test results, tests will show pregnant the entire pregnancy due to the body making hcg.

Generally, a pregnancy test taken at that time would be accurate.  If you are having any other pregnancy symptoms, you could have a blood test done.  They are more accurate than the urine ones.

A pregnancy test taken 6 weeks after the incident will be accurate.

(It's funny when you are many months pregnant to pee on a stick and watch that positive come zooming up.)

Sounds like you aren't pregnant.
