How common are "missed miscarriages"? Advice.

Alright, I am just curious to know how common missed miscarriages are... In December, I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. Now, I am 11 weeks, 4 days and ever since week 9, literally all of my symptoms disappeared over night. The first 8 weeks were very rough, and I was cramping a lot -- to the point where I was on the floor in pain. I don't have insurance yet (don't judge, I am working on it and have been doing everything I am supposed to be doing). But, never throughout the whole pregnancy have I vomited, but I weighed myself this morning and I actually have lost 7 pounds. People keep asking if my stomach is getting hard yet and it's really not. I actually feel like I did before I got pregnant. I am not bleeding, no cramping, no nausea, no tiredness, to breast tenderness. I am noticing a lot more vaginal discharge though, it's milky white and when I go to the restroom, it's like it literally just drips out in clumps. I have had STD and infection tests done and I am clean. I have noticed light spotting though, it was bright pink but very, very light (just on the toilet paper when I wiped). And At 5 weeks when the pregnancy was confirmed they did an ultrasound and they said that the heartbeat was very low and the nurse seemed concerned about it but not enough to send me to the er or keep me there... It was a private women's clinic and I have called and asked for them to do another pregnancy test/confirmation ultrasound but they denied me. I was denied Medicaid because my husband is now making more money than the accepted amount and it is already too late for me to get onto his work insurance and I am stressing out. I just want to know though how common these missed miscarriages are, and some advice on if it sounds like I am having one or not....

Ive heard it is normal for around 10 weeks for your symptoms to ease up or disappear. I am 11 weeks and 2 days and my just disappeared at 9 weeks. I wouldn't stress out too much

it's very rare to have a missed miscarriage, it's one of the rarest miscarriages, and although we see a LOT of them on this site, you have to remember its hundreds of women posting on here.. it's bound to pop up here and there.. it's not common at all.. when the 2nd trimester approaches you'll lose your symptoms because the placenta will take over. don't stress, i'm sure everything is just fine! :) with my daughter I felt pregnant about the first 6 weeks then I felt absolutely NO symptoms but a growing bump eventually.. like 26+ weeks, and movement later on. i'm sure your little one is growing great :)

That is exactly what I said to them. Usually first appointments to check heartbeats and everything isn't until 10 weeks or later. It just really made me mad.

I wouldnt go there either if they treat you that way.  I think its sad that people act like if your uninsured you should be ashamed.  To be honest Im proud to be paying my own way.  My doctor doesnt even see patients until 12 weeks anyhow. I think I was 11 weeks when I finally picked one, and 13 at my first appointment.  Your not doing anything wrong. They cant do much in the begining anyways.  But you may want to pick one soon.  Im pretty picky about my doctor so it took me a while too.  My biggest thing is having someone supportive and happy to do a totally natural birth, if you have something specific your picky about dont feel bad about calling and asking them about it before you choose them.  And try not to stress too much!

I have been calling around for doctors and haven't decided to go with a certain one yet but I am now getting to the point where I can't be picky. Also, where I'm from there is literally only 1 pregnancy center -- which is where I went for the confirmation of this pregnancy and they said no more ultrasounds after the first one... Also I will not be going back there because they called a few weeks ago, asked if I had gotten insurance or a doctor yet and I said no to both and explained and the lady basically called me an "unfit mother" and not taking the responsibility... I told her that I was doing everything that a doctor would tell me to do, I have never even drank, smoked, or have done a drug in my life so no, I am not an unfit mother... I am just in the process of making arrangements. But I am beginning to stress out a lot, without the support of my family. The only other people that know are my husband and a very close friend and her mom and boyfriend. It's so stressful.

Its normal for symptoms like that to just stop.  Everything else sounds pretty normal too, so I wouldnt think that its a miscarriage at all.  Have you tried calling around and seeing what doctors/ birthing centers/midwives accept self pay?  I dont have insurance either but have had no problem getting a doctor.  They bill as a package at the end and you can work out arangments with the hospital.  Good luck, Im sure everything is fine!

I have had three and with all there was cramping and bleeding. I am now 10 Weeks thought I was 12 Weeks and not had full on symptoms for about two Weeks so between 8 & 9 Weeks symptoms went. I just found out today that I am also having twins. So symptoms can come and go with everyone, some better have them throughout pregnancy others don't have anything. the risk of miscarriage reduces to 3% when a heartbeat is detected. If you are worried can you not see a doc or something? I haven't started showing yet or getting a hard stomach and I have two of them in there, so don't worry too much. Everybody experiences different pregnancies. I panicked the last few Weeks but now I seen my two healthy babies I know that there is only so.much you can read ask etc as it is different for everyone. I hope everything goes well for you Honey x

Ive had 2 miscarriages and with both of mine, i started bleeding. So if your not that's a good sign! Cramps are normal this early. With both my daughter who is now 3 and this pregnancy (in 24 weeks), i had "cramps" (my doctor called them growing pains) to the point i had to lay down and curl up. I also don't think your lack of symptoms is a huge concern, although you should double check with a doctor when you can. Just consider yourself lucky your not one of those women who have every symptom in the book. Your belly won't start getting hard til around 20 weeks and my breast tenderness went away around 10 weeks. About the discharge, an increase is completely normal s well. As far as seeing a doctor, im not sure where you live but here they have free clinics you can go to up until your 13 weeks and get an ultrasound and also lots of places that go by your income and will bill you later. If your really concerned though, you can always go to the er. They cant turn you away for not having insurance. Good luck girl! I hope everything works out for you and baby. From the sounds of it, i'd say you'll be just fine!
