How long to take baby aspirin when ttc?

I read to take a baby aspirin a day to help blood flow to the uterus to help with implantation and to help avoid miscarriage? How long into the pregnancy do you take the aspirin? Do you stop once you get a BFP? Just wondering. Thanks. :)

Agreed!  Self medicating can be dangerous especially in pregnancy

You shouldn't be taking baby aspirin unless you have been prescribed it for your pregnancy.im currently on it until im 34 weeks, same as my last pregnancy.no one should be self medicating when pregnant.

Any time you are in the tww you should avoid medications and substances that are not safe in pregnancy. Also baby asprin is used for those with multiple miscarriages and those with blood clotting disorders. If you don't have either of these than baby asprin probably won't do anything. Always speak with your dr before starting any med as it can interfere with other meds or medical conditions

I think it takes a little bit to really get In your system. But I'm not sure. From the sound of it it can't hurt but make sure it's the lowest dose. Good luck. Hope you get your BFP! I have been reading your posts and really hope it's implant bleeding. :)

Thanks. I got the lowest dose and am taking it. Thanks for all the helpful info. It is so much easier to come on here and ask questions then go and try to reach the Dr. Thanks!

Baby asprin is safe in pregnant as long as it is the baby asprin (the lowest dose available) a higher dose would not be safe. You may notice you bruise more easily when taking it as it thins the blood.

Baby aspirin is safe to take while pregnant.  I have been on it forever...however I do have a clotting disorder and the doctors are looking into doing something stronger with my next pregnancy.  You should be fine.

I took baby aspirin the entire time we were ttc and the doctor told us to stop taking it when I reached 12 weeks. She said from that point it was uneeded. But every body and every doctor is different.

I am currently taking baby aspirin and have been ever since I got pregnant! I am now 30 weeks and 3 days and was told to take it until 10 days before delivery. The reason I'm taking it is because of the blood clotting disorder they told me I had and because of my loss at 41 weeks last year! Good luck with everything (:

Usually through the first trimester. It really helps for those with clotting disorders. If you have asthma be careful as it can make asthma worse (I learned the hard way).
