I felt my son move at 13 weeks, but he's also my 3rd baby. It almost feels like something's crawling under your skin. Once I got further along, around 16-18 weeks, I felt some more fluid kicks/punches. They were very weak though and were actually hard to distinguish, but I felt them. They felt like someone was barely touching you but from the inside instead of out. I felt them best when I was laying down or hunched over.

I felt my baby around 13 weeks but only slightly. It wasn't until 16 or 17 weeks that I actually felt kicks. I'm now 22w and I feel him constantly.  when you do it's the best feeling ever!

I felt both of mine around 15 weeks, maybe a little sooner, but I am very small. I was really suprised to feel my first so early and asked my dr. She told me it was because I had no fat blocking the baby. Every woman is different though. I'm sure there are some small women who don't feel any movement until after 20 weeks and some larger women who feel it sooner. It'll happen when it happens!

This is my second pregnancy, not first. So i know what it feels like they say in your second you are able to feel it sooner then 16 weeks. Its not kicking, it feels kind of like gas bubbles but not exacly like them. I remember feeling them with my first at around 17 weeks. So it has to be the baby that I felt or im just imagining things lol. I go to the doc on monday so I suppose i should just ask if thats possible to feel at 13 weeks lol.

I agree no way at eight weeks can you feel your baby move. That's rediculous.

not true at all. Everyone is different. I just read on a reputable pregnancy site that with your 2nd you can feel it sooner. I am only 10 weeks with my 2nd ( so I clearly know what it feels like) and I swear I can feel the baby. I was surprised at first and thought I was crazy as I did not feel anything with my dd until 17 weeks. Then I asked my friends and all said they felt it much sooner with #2. My mom did too. Its very low...just above the pubic hair line so obviously not gas....its just little flutters but I can feel it. :)

The site also said as far as your 1st it can greatly depend on your shape and size, and where the placenta is. I agree that 13 weeks is early for a 1st time mom but it is possible. You will know soon enough if it is the baby!

Congrats on your pregnancy!

I totally agree with you. I think the ONLY EARLIEST you can feel a baby is at 16 wks, ESPECIALLY if this is your first baby. That is too funny, feeling a baby at EIGHT weeks.

My baby as my gynecologist put it was extremely active in the womb on the ultrasound and thats why i was able to feel it, it was jumping up and down and twirling around. My Gyno got a real big kick out of watching it. I could feel it.

Ok I am going to dispute this one. At 8 weeks the baby is below your pubic bone and the size of a kidney bean and barely even has arms or legs and looks more like a tadpole than anything. It is definitely not strong enough to push against your stomach to cause you to feel movement. It is barely even developing fingers or toes.

I was 8 weeks when I felt the butterfly movements. If you are thin skinned on your stomach you will feel it sooner. My daughter is pregnant and I have felt her baby kick at 12 weeks.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first pregnancy and i felt my baby move the first time around 18 weeks. To me it felt like popcorn popping lol. I didnt realize until it became more frequent that thats what it was. every woman is different, some feel it sooner then others and like the other ladies said, if this is your first baby usually you don't feel it until later.

Most first time moms wont even feel it until after 20 weeks for the first time. If this is your first pregnancy then most likely what you are feeling is just gas bubbles. I'm pretty skinny pre-pregnancy and my first pregnancy I didn't feel my daughter until about 16 weeks this time I felt my daughter at about 13-14 weeks and it didn't feel like gas bubbles it kinda felt like worms moving. Gross description but that is the only thing I can think of to describe it. Movement that early won't be extremely noticeable either and won't really feel like a kick.

First time moms will often not feel their baby move until 16 weeks or more. If this is a second pregnancy or more then it's possible to feel it sooner, but many will still feel it later on.
