Thanks for your help ladies! I want to make sure I eat mostly healthy things, but I think completely denying yourself what your body is craving isn't good either. I will definitely eat the 'junk food' and sweets in moderation. My main goal is to make sure this baby gets all the nutrients it needs!
I go through phases of where I can eat and eat and eat and still be hungry and then days where I can eat very little and be full...
It is good that you try to include mostly healthy snacks... Try some peanut butter toast (whole eat of course).. My baby loves carbs... noodles are my weakness...
I have learned sometimes you need to give into your cravings or you wont be satisfied... The trick is to do it moderation such as your one cookie.. When I was first pregnant I refused to eat anything that wasnt healthy but I started feeling really really sick and was always thinking about sweets.. so one day I broke down and had a cookie... and sure enough things got alot better after that..
I try to eat mostly veggies and fruit. And some granola and yogurt. Usually chicken or ground turkey for dinner. I do crave junk food, but try to keep it to one cookie and maybe a few chips and not go crazy.
I'll try adding more fiber to my diet to see if that helps. Thanks ladies!
completely agree with the above poster. I was hungry all the time and found out my sugar levels were going crazy. I craved sweets non stop. I believe its the bodies way of trying to get whats needed.
Fiber! Fiber makes you feel full longer. I actually found myself hungry all the time turns out I was anemic once I started iron supp my appetite mellowed out. Maybe your body needs something? I'd say eat lots of protein and fiber and a ton of water. Fruits and veggies too :).
