Hurts so bad

I have a wife who has a pill adiction. We have two kids but she recently gave birth to someone elses child:( I love her and the guys a looser and I have decided to except the little guy as my own child. She is 5 months sober but my new son was born with withdraws from soboxon. Hes having a tough time with the scoring at the hospital. They want to put him o opiom and wont let him come home. I just want my family back. Will i ever forgive her or just have to not think about it. It will be so hard to forget with the constant reminder of this little guy (which I already love so much)

You need to be honest with your fiance because you also have to think.about the future of your child, if something is medically wrong with the child you'll need the fathers medical history, also the longer you keep it in the worse it'll not.only eat at you but also hurt him.when  he.does find out, the truth almost always comes out

That bring said as for you brokenhearted I think you are very admirable for loving and caring for the child as your own. Tough love sadly though maybe what's needed to keep your wife sober if she tries to relapse

Well if it comes down to it... It can be just you and your kids.

Your an amazing man taking on a child that is not your own. Plus with your wife having a pill problem? Any addiction is hard to beat. But she is going to have to want to quit. No one can make her. She will have to hit her own rock bottom.. Then attend some sort of rehab. It is hard to help someone who has no motivation to help themselves.

I know it is painful. But there are some points were you have to do what is best for yourself and the children.

Besides working on L&D, I mainly work in the NICU & Peds...withdrawl from suboxone is tough...I've seen babies in there for 2 months bc of detox...morphine(typically used as a primary drug), clozaril, and phenobarbitol are commonly used to decrease symptoms, then they decrease the dose...being an RN, I think its worth it, they're monitored really well!! As for stepping up, you are one in a million!! You probably won't forgive or forget, but in ur heart, he's ur son! :)

I would keep it to myself. I've seen really dark skin black men have babies with white women and the baby look white. So you xan always say your genes were dominate. It happens. Good luck. My sister had a mixed baby and managed to make her bf which was not the father, and was white believe he was the father.  To you brokenheart. Time heals all wounds. You are a great guy for accepting that little baby as your own. Like unbelievably  great! I hope your wife will sober up and stay sober for the sake of her family. It may be a hard road, but she needs support, and live from her family and friends. Hope all goes good with your new little one in the hospital. Good luck to you. (:

confusedmama i read your other post about whether to tell your fiance about you cheating with your ex and the chance it could be his. I honestly think you should tell your fiance, im not judging at all but you need to put yourself in his shoes... would you rather know the possibility and work together to resolve it? or be kept in the dark only to find out that you were lied to?

Yep.  That's why I'm so torn.  I definitely would keep this to myself if they were the same race.... but I messed up bad.

So, I'm not sure if I should tell him now or wait and hope that it's his the whole time.

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to do! Thank you!!! My mom thought i was crazy! LOL!

But she might have a right to feel that way... My ex is 6'4", 160lbs, white, blonde hair, blue eyes. My current bf is 5'9", 183lbs, and black.  Idk how I would EVER pull that off if it's not his.  That's the only thing that's really really making me want to tell him.

As for you, I was an alcoholic and he stuck by me.  I was struggling with sobriety every day, relapsed on Thanksgiving when he started getting mad at me, now I'm pregnant. I have to stay sober now.  I have a child on the way and MUST stay sober during pregnancy and motherhood.  I don't want to be like my mom. A fulltime alcoholic/part time mom. Horrible. I'm telling you by experience, if she truly loves you she'll stay clean.

Why do the loosers always think they can fix everything wit a abortion. :( This was a gift from god and I will raise him with or without her. She hurt me so much and don't know if she will stay sober but but above all I am a father of 3 wonderful kids and thats enough for me. You should keep it to yourself and tell your ex its not his and your all set. Build your current bf up to be the best dad ever. Don't give him any dout

WOW! You're a great guy!!!!

You'll get over it with time.  I'm 5 weeks pregnant right now and I don't think it's my fiance's.  I'm pretty sure it's my ex's but I haven't told my fiance anything, not even that I cheated. We've had an extremely rocky relationship but I love him with all my heart.  Now that he knows I'm pregnant, he's so excited and the greatest guy in the world! My ex told me he'd pay for an abortion, which I have greatly considered.... mainly to avoid telling my fiance the truth. But that's selfish so I decided not to.

I hope he reacts like you when I have to break the news.

Keep your head up.  The child needs a father and if she loves her family, she'll stay sober.
