Hypothyroidism and Pregnancy

I was just diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, my TSH levels were at an astounding 93- my endocrinologist said she had never even seen levels that high. The problem is that I am 7 weeks pregnant, and they immediately put me on 150 Synthroid and 25 Cytomel(3x day).
Anyone else experience high TSH levels during pregnancy? I am really concerned abuot miscarrying and effects this may have on the baby. I have obviously had many conversations with my Dr.s, but they do not have experience with this high of a level during pregnancy.
Thanks.

I havent had any levels that high while pregnnat but when i was first diagnosed with hypo mine were that high too! Im pregnant with number 3 right now and have been pregnant 2 times sence being diagnosed with hypo...now that you have started your synthroid your levels whould start to regulate..although you may need to adjust it a few time first...another thing is baby takes the synthroid from you when your pregnant so your meds will have to increase while your pregnant which is ok..baby needs it....im on 112 right now and im 15 weeks...your baby will start taking from you at around 12 weeks when its own thyroid starts to develop! Any more questions just ask..you will prob be asked to get your levels checked frequently too while your pregnant just to make sure your hormones are stable!! But you should be fine...well from my experience anyways!!! :) Good luck and keep us posted!! And congrats on the baby!

I'm sorry I don't have any hypothyroid med experience, but I wanted to say congrats and try not to worry....your doctor prescribed what she did because she had to and the benefits outweigh the risks. Maybe do some 'net research, or ask your doctor if she has any colleagues in the field who DO have experience with this and may be willing to share knowledge with her and you. Again congrats :D
