I always manage to fall when pregnant!! Ouch!!!

Can we say OUCH much?!!? I am 22 weeks and we had my parents over for dinner tonight. Anyway, Hubby was showing my dad 2 of his long rifles that were in our room. Well, he forgot to put them away (we never keep them loaded btw) so they were laying across our floor. Well after everyone I left, I went upstairs to get something out of the room and flipped the switch but the light didn't come on. No big deal, I've done this a million times and walked across the room to turn on the lamp. Well...all of a sudden I stepped on something and completely went down, missing my belly by inches. I somehow stepped on the gun (at the time I had no clue what it was or what was happening because it was so dark) and then went down put my hands out and somehow fell on my hip. Then hubby heard the loud thud from down stairs and immediately freaked out because he said all he heard was me fall and nothing else. He thought I had fainted. Well he comes in and mind you, it's still very dark in the room, and he comes towards me and he too trips on the gun. Oh my goodness, I was thinking to myself, why did he fall, then I was able to look over and saw the gun!! I was freaking out wondering why it out and drilling him about it, meanwhile he is dropping words and screaming at the top of his lungs. There is a part on the gun that sticks up and it pierced his foot. It basically went in and you could see flesh, it's so gross. Poor guy is in so much pain. It looks so nasty!!! I just bruised my foot in 2 places from it, but thankfully didn't pierce it. The side of my heel is swollen and bruised and my hip is killing me! I had 2 contractions after it happened, but I think everything is okay. Baby was moving a little while ago. I'm just super sore and hubby, trying to rescue me, ends up hurt worse than me!! I'm just glad I didn't fall on my belly, because I had nothing to grab on to. I went straight to the ground. WHAT A NIGHT!!! Cleaned and bandaged hubby up, he is gonna be in pain tomorrow!!!! :( So that was my night.
On a happier note I made some awesome chocolate ganache cupcakes that came out incredible and were a hit with everyone!! lol

Lesson for the night: DO NOT leave guns out on the floor in a dark room or any room for that matter. Always remember to put them away as soon as you are done. Hubby just left them because it was dinner time and he meant to put them away after dinner, but forgot. Thank God it wasn't any worse, but I feel horrible for my husband. His foot is pretty bad. If it gets worse, I told him to go to the doctor tomorrow. We will see! My hip just hurts so bad! :(
