I am 7 weeks pregnant and ER doctor prescribed me percocet for cramping,I really need some insight on this

After reading all the post about pregnancy and percocet,I am scared sh**less,I've read that u can't take them during ur first trimester but u can during ur second? Why is that? my ob knows I'm taking them but I'm still worried. I have been eating healthy,I quit smoking as soon as I found out I'm pregnant, been taking my vitamins,I've been doing everything I can to make sure I have a healthy baby, but after reading those posts,I feel like I may have put my baby at risk and I feel horrible!!! I am one of those paranoid pregnant women(I have every right to be,my first pregnancy ended at 5 months and mty second I had complications throughout the whole 9 months) will someone please give me some helpful info?! I would greatly appreciate it!!!

There are no problems with narcotics and pregnancy.  Especially as early as you are.  Percocet is also a very mild narcotic.  You can take it safely and in fact pain will cause stress and many other related problems which are harmful for the baby.  I have a disease and was on much stronger narcotics for my whole pregnancy - I have a healthy happy 4 year old and 2 month old.  Don't worry! Percocet is actually A LOT safer then Tylenol and motrin (but percocet does contain some tylenol but much less than you would take OTC)
Good Luck

*thanks for the advice, the cramping comes and goes like a contraction and sometimes it is unbearable, doctor called it a threatened miscarriage,my hcg levels aren't as high as they should be and he seems to think that's one of the reasons why I'm cramping. The other reason is because of stress. Me and my husband live with his mother. She has told me she hopes I lose the baby and she had called my two yearold son a retard(he's autistic) she won't stop smoking around me cuz she said,"I'm not getting my way,She'll smoke where ever she feels like it." She has also said that she could care less if my mom dies(she has small cell lung cancer which has spread into her brain and liver)cuz she don't know her. I think my mother in law plays a big part of my cramping.

Percocet seems really strong to use just for cramping, especially at just 7 weeks. You should try to avoid any medicines in the first trimester, just to be on the safe side. This is because babies major developments happen in the first trimester and medicines can cause unwanted effects. I doubt you've done much damage if any, but unless you're in utter agony (which would in itself represent something more serious) you probably wouldn't need them.
