I need help!

Ok... I was on BC.... I was originaly supposed to get my period on may 13th( took the last blue pill on the 9th). I started a new pack right away...doubled up on my pack so i didnt get it the week of my wedding/honeymoon, but i did anyway. From may 14th through the 28th i had it off and on.The last day for my pill was the 29th of may. on June 3rd i got my period again. Now July 6th i think i got it ( dark brown and spotty, does not have a "flow" like a period). So my question is when are my ovulation days? And when were my ovulation days in may and june? Can you still get pregnant without ovulating?

Thanks for all your help, always
sam

There is always a small chance that by being on the pill you can ovulate and it is a little higher on the low dose pills. Esp if you mess them up, but the pill is designed so that you will not get prego and if you do, what happ is the baby that is concieved, will not be able to fertilize, i would not worry about it, because if this happ you will not even know about it unless you take a really early test, because small percentage of women have what i had, which is a chemical pregnancy, which means you get preg but the egg cant fertalize so you get what you think is your period, usually a few days late, but it is really like a early mc, you would never know this unles you always took early preg test, which know one does cause there is no reason you are the pill, the pill prevents you from getting preg in two way and the 3rd way is kinda a abortive means. This is not very likely, but some women have breakthrough ovulation, which is why they designed the pill to not allow a emryo to implant it self. Most dr do not tell you this unless you really ask and pill companies will word it diff on the pill instructions, so the more you mess up and if you are on a low dose i believe the more likely this will happ, this happ to me and i had a chemical preg, i took a early test it was pos, and by the time i went to the dr they said i was not preg any longer and that i prb had a chemical preg, if i had not taken a early test i would not have even known the diff. It is good stuff to know, but i wouldnt not take the pill because of it, well im not taking it anymore, but if you were you i would still keep it. see if you can google, Breakthrough Ovulation on BC pills, all the Bc methods do the same thing, nuvaring and suff like that, the only ones that do not are condoms and spermasides and Jellys i believe. They all work to thin the lining of your uterus, making it impossible for a concieved child to implant its self. That is why they changed the day of conception to the day the egg is fertalized instead of the actual day of conception, because they wouldn't be able to get away with selling bc pills. But as for your bleeding there is no ryme or reason, every women bleeds differently at diff times, and have fluke bleeding. i know with me i was on a low dose and never got a period ever while on the pill. Which can be good and bad. My sister inlaw in on her pill and never ever messes up, and she had bad bleeding smack in the middle of her pill the other day. So really i wouldn't worry too much about it. But keep in mind, that the bleeding you have on the pill is not a real period, it is called forced bleeding, you get this because when you are off the pill for that one week, your body is withdrawing from the estrogen in your pill and every women is diff on how your body reacts. Some women gain weight etc.....plus there are all diff brands and amounts of estrogen and progestron. So usually if you do not want to get your period you skip the sugar pills and go right to a new pack so you do not get that withdrawal bleeding, in your case you are saying you bleed anyway, so take a test if you want, but most likely it is the way your body reacted. Hope this helps and good luck.

It is my understanding that when you take the pill you don't ovulate.  If you took the pill regularily on time every day, you probably didn't ovulate, which you need to do to get pregnant.  Your period could just be different because you didn't take a week off and now your cycle is off  a bit.  You could take a  Home pregnancy test to make yourself feel better.
