I think I felt the baby!

I was in bed with DF and we were going to sleep. I was on my side/stomach and out of nowhere, I felt the lightest "poke-tap" in my lower abdomen around where the baby is. I thought it was just gas but I felt it again. It wasn't gas. I was so still and when I felt it, I told DF but didn't move. The second time I felt it, I knew it couldn't of been gas. I drank nesquik before laying down and I'm really loving it right now. Ice cold milk with nesquik chocolate powder added to it is my favorite right now.

I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow.... Is this too early to feel the baby? This is my first that has ever made it this far.

I felt my first pretty late around 19 weeks or so, but it seems to be earlier each pregnancy.  With my 3rd baby I felt him around 12 weeks and my husband felt him on the outside at around 14-15 weeks.  This time with baby #4 I swear I have been feeling baby already and I will be 12 weeks tomorrow.  It only happens once in a great while.

It would have been baby i'm guessing. I started to feel flutters around 12 weeks with the bub and then at 14 weeks and 2 days i felt a full on poke! And as the other ladies said you now know what it feels like you may notice it more!

Thank y'all.. It really does feel amazing and it makes me feel so much better knowing my little one is hanging out in there :)

I can't wait for it to get more and more frequent and to see it on the outside later on... :))

I definitely think that was your baby.  With my first, I briefly felt him one time at 11 weeks and once at 13 weeks, then nothing really until his movements got regular a few weeks later.  It felt like butterflies in my lower belly.  With this baby, I felt her a little bit later, but at first I only felt her when I was really still, like laying in bed at night.  Now, at almost 28 weeks, it feels like she's having a boxing match in there at times!  LOL  Isn't it the most awesome feeling?  It is so relieving when you start to feel them and know they're doing OK. :-)  Oh, and you said you were on your side and drank cold milk.  Those are definitely two ways to get a reaction from your baby.  I feel my baby the most while laying on my side and especially when I have something cold to eat or drink.

It most likely was baby. In my experience it is possible to have "phantom baby movements" but in actuality it is gas or a BM. The difference between gas/BM and a little fetus is that you will most likely feel one little push (usually on your side) or feel it roll across your belly and then go away (or you may pass a little gas) when your intestines are working. With a fetus a tap-tap-tap sensation is usually felt and usually in or around the same spot and in early pregnancy will be LOW down, usually near the center.

I swear I felt a tap-tap-tap really low, near the pubic bone where my uterus is, when I was only 11 weeks. This is my fourth baby and compared to all the BMs and gas I've felt in the past several years I have a feeling that it was my little one. BUT I haven't officially written that down in the baby book or anything because it was so incredibly early.

I feel all sorts of flutterings and things from time-to-time (I'm 13 weeks now) but most of the time I know it isn't baby.

Lol Im sure it probably was the baby certain positions you can feel him move. Its just not common for first timers to recognize the movements. But it can happen. Especially if your sitting very still and quiet. Its awesome, so now you know what to feel for! (and it doesnt hurt like the gas lol)

It's the first that has ever made it this far... It's hard to explain what it feels like... But it's something like if you put your hand by your head and very lightly tap the back of your arm. Tmi but when I'm gassy, my stomach usually rumbles lol... It was quiet last night.

Hopefully, this was the baby. I'm gassy as all get out today and it doesn't feel anywhere near the same as last night :\ lol

If you are normally a very thin person and have not gained much weight it's possible it really could be the baby.  Typically people don't feel it this early unless it's a subsequent pregnancy, but it's not unheard of.  I felt flutters with my 3rd pregnancy shortly after 13 weeks.

The first movements are so precious!!

Is this your first pregnancy? If it is your first pregnancy I would say its a little early but it happens. With my son I was almost 20 weeks with this pregnancy I was 14 weeks....  It really depends every pregnancy is different....

Its not to early but most first time moms dont recognize these litle movements. I felt this little guy moving at about 13 wks and hes my 4th. Now he jabs away like hes boxing someone else in there LOL But its amazing to feel. Ive heard its the cold drinks that get the babies moving. Congrats! Now people that havent been pregnant are going to start asking what the movements feel like..i always say it feels like the gas bubbles that dont hurt LOL
And its also normal to not feel it all the time since he is so tiny so dont get nervous if you dont feel him moving everyday. Movements get more of a pattern around 20-23 weeks when the baby is bigger.
