IM FREAKING OUT!
So I'm 25 weeks and 2 days. On Friday or Saturday I'm going to.get my gluclose test done and I'm so worried. I haven't been puking or anything lately and I'm just scared that it'll make me so sick and I'll start back up again. I can't handle sugary stuff as it is.. any sujestions?

I felt like I was goin tu vomit after I drunk the stuff soon as dey drew my blood I had tu put sum thing on my stomach tu soak the drink up jus take crackers wit yu an if yu can handle it for one hour soon as dey draw ya blood eat the crackers
I didn't have to fast this pregnancy. With my other 2 children I did. Last time I threw it up before they could draw my blood. So I had to re-do the test. My doc told me when I did the test again I could drink water in between drinks of the glucose stuff. It helped tremendously. Ask your doc for options.
Ask your doc if you have some options. The glucose drink made me sick during my last pregnancy so I asked my midwife if I could opt out of the test. She said I could but that she wouldn't suggest it, especially since my daughter was a very big newborn (just shy of nine pounds).
She did give me an alternative to the glucose drink. She sent home very specific instructions. I had to find a juice or soda or something that I'd be able to drink 50 grams of sugar within five minutes. I also had to have a complete fast before the test (no problem I just scheduled a morning appointment).

Its actually not that bad. I got the red kind and it tasted like surgary fruit punch. But after I got my blood taken I threw it all up. I had to fast before the test. I only got 5 mins to drink it.
