I was induced with both of my kids, one with epidural one without so it is possible. With my first the Dr told me the same thing about taking an epidural too. I would just try to keep an open mind to pain meds just in case, there was also something the nurse had offered that goes thru your IV so it's not as invasive but not sure what drug it was. Best wishes for a fast labor mama! I will be looking for your announcement :)

Mroxannaj, I was induced with my first and did not get the epidural. The doctor kept trying to push me to get it but I didn't want it. It's very possible, don't let anyone tell you different. Especially since you have already done a natural birth!

i was induced at 41 week and 2 days, because my water broke and had no contractions, so i had to be induced next day, the labour was about 8-9 hours, horrible, absolutely terrible contractions, i asked for epidural, and it DIDN'T work :(((( so felt every single contraction, and every signle push, my vagina had to be cut because surprisingly for me the doctor said my bones weren't wide enough for my sons head, so the cut me and got him out with a vacuum... the next day, one midwife told me that natural contractions are not as bad as the ones that are indused

Thanks ladies! My first was natural, no meds &everyone keeps telling me that theres no way ill go thru being induced without an epidural... Im so ready for pregnancy to be over though &i know that the pain doesnt last forever :) so i might just do it!

I waited as long as I could, I was 40w3d and my midwife didnt want him to be to big. It wasn't bad at all...although it was my first. I experienced laboring at home though bc I was 5cm dilated when I was induced and lemme tell ya, waiting for the painful contractions to be close enough together to go to the er was miserable!

I was induced in May with my first and was only in labor for 6hrs! The epidural was amazing and helped soooo much though, idk what your thoughts are on that.

I'm being induced Tuesday at 39+3 because of preeclampsia, I'm a bit nervous since I wasn't induced with my older two but the sooner baby is out the better for both of us. You're already dilated and effaced some so you're really favorable for induction. I was 3cm and 60% at my last check. Hoping for the best for all of us!
