IUD removed and no period!! I'm scared!

OMG, i'm totally freaking out. I had my paragard removed last monday on the 1st of this month. A week later still no period!!! I'm so scared not ready for another kid right now. My husband thinks i'm freaking out. I requested for the removal  after 1.8 years, due to heavying bleeding every month. My husband and i had intercourse the night before the removal. Could it be possible to be pregnant? Help please!

I had an IUD for about a year and had it removed for the same reasons as you.....It took a while for me to have a period after and been TTC for almost a year so I think you are fine and probly have nothin to worry about.

It happened to me, too., and I wasn’t pregnant. What the doctor explained was after an IUD removal women could experience some bleeding, pain, no period, and/or no pregnancy (temporary infertility) and you know what? It happened to me. After my IUD removal, 5 years passed and I never got pregnant. And a month passed after my IUD removal before I got my period. Give your body some time to get used to its new conditions. If you are too terrified, get a HPT.

Good Luck
