IVF and orgasms

I'm 5Weeks 5days and this pregnancy is from IVF. It's my first and in stressing a little about having an orgasm. I'm on sex restriction as they want to avoid any kind of infection so I'm wondering if having an orgasm from outside stimulation is a "no no" . I've read so many things online about orgasms causing miscarriage in early pregnancy and until I can check with the office, I wanted to see if anyone has heard or knows. I definitely don't want to do anything to harm the baby, but we've not had sex in over two months so I'm getting desperate.

If you're on pelvic rest I wouldn't risk it. With it, you can't orgasm at all from anything. An orgasm causes uterine contractions, because an orgasm IS a contraction. As you've read, this can cause miscarriage in women with preterm labour issues or a weakened uterus. If its only to prevent infection that's one thing, but until you talk to them I wouldn't.
