I'm Curious... Is this really true?

I was online looking at ovulation calendars and I noticed it said.. TRY TO CONCEIVE A BOY, A GIRL, OR EITHER. So I hit girl! haha. Then it showed me the best days too have a girl... first 3 three days of ovulation a girl... last 3 days of ovulation a boy! Is this really true?

During the time of ovulation, an egg is available to be fertilized for only about 12-24 hours. But since sperm can live in the body for 3-5 days and then the egg is available for one day, your most fertile time is considered to be about 5-7 days.

Okay now I am confused, I thought ovulation only happens in one day, with the advice from up above is accurate then we have 6 days of ovulation.  How does that work?

Also, the acidity of your reproductive organs plays a part in determining sex as well. Male sperm can't survive if the cm is overly acidic, female sperm can. Im sure the shettles method does work for some, but either way it has a 50% chance.

It can work, yes because they say that female sperm are slower but live longer, whereas male sperm are faster but die sooner. I don't know HOW well it works however.

I had sex the day before and the day off ovulation and my daughter is almost eight months. Lol, didn't work for me, but were weren't trying for a specific sex.
