apparently they can only contribute to a m/c if they are bulging into the unterine cavity....that's what i found on google ;)

I'm not sure what can be done while pregnant, with fibroids. Definitely worth asking your doctor!!! But I don't think they'd cause you to miscarry. More than likely your baby will be safe. The uterus will rise above your pubic bone and into your abdominal cavity for almost the entire pregnancy. But you might have cramping and pain throughout your preganncy from the pressure of a growing uterus and baby on those fibroids. Discuss your options with your doc!

I'm not sure if fibroids CAN cause a M/C....you might want to ask your Dr. that....I'm 23+ weeks pregnant now and at my 1st U/S they found that I had a fibroid, and I have had no problems......Every once in a while, in the beginning, I would get cramps, sharp pains, but they went away....I have no idea if this was related or not though.......I think that you should ask your Dr. though.......Mine said that it wouldn't cause problems.....but I only had one.  Best of luck
