My OB doesn't do scans until 18 weeks unless a problem is suspected.

that is simply unacceptable and don't accept it. i'm on the nhs too. i had a scan at about 6 weeks due to concerns i had. i also had one at 9 1/2 weeks due to bleeding and my dating scan at 12 weeks. you should have been seen at the hospital at 12 weeks for your booking in appointment too. If it were me, i'd phone and play holy hell with the drs receptionist, phone my local hospital's antenatal unit and explain the situation, request the booking in and scan appointments and if the drs did anything like that again or didn't apologise for this misdemeanor, i'd change my dr again.

Well getting a scan wont change the outcome of the pregnancy but it would be nice to be seen by a medical provider.

Why not change GP's???? i'm 16 weeks and i saw my midwife @11 weeks, had 1st scan 12 at weeks and 2days. The NHS may not be the issue, but maybe your GP has not forworded your details to them yet.

Wow, I am surprised that they let you wait that long. I would be totally frustrated too. I had my first scan at 8 weeks. I can't imagine being 14 weeks and having one yet.

I hope that you get your scan soon.
