I'm upset b/c I don't know....

Ok, well yeah I'm trying to get pregnant as of 2 days ago now. I was ovulating so we tried for three days. Well two, because one of the times we weren't trying and a little bit got in there. I'm a little concerned. See, I've gained a little weight and I want it gone so badly. I can't fit into my "skinny clothes" anymore. I seriously thought about only eating once and making it a small meal like I used to do.. I KNOW IT'S NOT SMART AND I COULD REALLY F* SOMETHING UP. But, I feel so ugly. Some people don't understand how I feel. What if I got pregnant this time? How am I supposed to cope with the weight? Do you think it'll change once I know it's a baby? I know I could work it off after the baby is born--(if he got me pregnant this time)... I'm just confused..

I guess I just need some advice or something. I've been depressed lately. I'm just scared.

Thank you ladies. I'm soo much better. I think some of is because I don't have anyone to talk to during the day. I'm home alone with a computer. And, no way to go anywhere.
So thank you for taking the time to read this and give me answers/advice.

means a lot.

Weight is something women deal with during pregnancy and then feel guilty about. Obviously if you were to end up pregnant you'd eat healthy and eat correctly! You cannot skimp on food when preggo. The weight gain in pregnancy is supposed to happen! It's mostly fluid, blood, placenta, baby, etc. Hardly any of it is actually YOU.

When I gave birth, I always lost like 10 lbs in the first few days and breastfeeding helped me lose even more.

Also, if you're trying to get pregnant, you need to start eating healthy NOW. Take prenatals, drink a ton of water (my rule is to drink a glass BEFORE I eat any meal so I get fuller on water and don't over-eat). Fruits and vegetables need to be a staple. You need carbs and protein. These will help your body prepare for pregnancy and may even help you to be more fertile!

hey hun!  I too had a bad childhood.. my father beat my mother and my mother ended up leaving him 7 times and drug us back and forth and back and forth.. my dad wasnt happy with me as a daughter because i wasnt the beautiful prom queen size 2 and u know what F*ck him cus Im now 22 and I have a wonderful life a man who loves me for me and he does everything he can for me.  And I found my calling in life im going to school to be a social worker who specializes in domestic violence ... dont let your childhood effect the adult you become if you do you let them win and you are too good for that! Im also 27 weeks pregnant and my father wants to see the child and im no so sure but how can I keep my child from its grandfather so... i just wanted to let you know you arent alone and pm me anytime you need to talk.. stop stressing about being pregnant.. trust me it will happen when the time is right : ]

Thank you sooo much. I really needed to hear that. I'm so ready to be pregnant now.
I guess someone had you in mind when I posted this b/c I was thinking well if I didn't get pregnant this time, then I'll just forget about it. Which is kinda stupid b/c I'm soo ready for a baby.

Sometimes the past will kinda getcha I guess. I was told those same things too.
It's not easy being happy all the time. I've been with my bf for 5 years. And I still don't let him see me completely naked.

I bet when I become pregnant, I'll be ok.

SO THANK YOU SOO MUCH.

I've been beaten as a child, and been told by my father that I was useless, pathetic, and I was never gunna be nothing. Never gunna be somebody. Never gunna get anywhere in life. He constantly reminded me that I was a failure and that nobody really loved me.
Told me I was fat and ugly all the time.

So I TOTALLY understand when it comes to a bad childhood and being insecure about your body.
I mean ****, I've been with my fiancee for almost a year and a half now, and I still make him turn out the lights when we're gunna "Do" something.
lol.

I mean, I've gradually gotten more comfortable where I'll leave a dim light on, or the tv or something... but I still am very insecure... no matter how many times  he tells me I'm perfect.

I've had a weight problem since I hit my teens.
Not too too bad, but I did put on alot of weight this past year... I'd say about 30-35 lbs.

But I got pregnant back in January and I lost all the weight I recently put on.

The doc says it's not the BEST thing in the world, but there are women out there, depending on their food intake, and how much their baby takes from them as far as vitamins n such...

He said some women can lose a **** load of weight and be perfectly healthy.
Some will only gain about 10-20lbs and that's just baby weight, fluids and blood... once the baby's born all that weight pretty much goes away.
And some will use their being pregnant as an excuse to eat more, but you're really not "Eating For Two"... you just need to eat healthier and eat more vitamin enriched foods sticking to the food chart mostly.
He said that's how you REALLY gain weight when you're pregnant, is over eating.
So watch yourself there.
I get hungy ALOT, so when I can't take those hunger pains anymore [[but really you're NOT SUPPOSED to ignore them... but I don't always answer them either. lol]] I'll go have something small... or if I'm hungry and I gatta go to bed, I'll just drink alot of water to fill myself up, then go to bed.
You're not suppsed to stuff your face cuz that's uncalled for... I dunno why pregnant women think that way.

So if you DO get pregnant, eat lots of greens, and fruits...
Eat frequent SMALL meals, otherwise you'll get nauseated cuz your actual stomach shrinks when you get pregnant [[funny how that works, you'd think it'd get bigger. lol]]
Drink LOTS of water, it'll keep your face clear of blemishes and keep you very healthy.

The doctor will tell you all this again when and if you do.

But just think... once you have the baby and you still got all that baby fat on yah, plus whatever you have now, you can just say it was from the pregnancy and no one at the gym will snicker at you!
lolol
That's what I'm gunna do.
Just say I gained it from the pregnancy and get my fatass in SHAPE!

I too had a bad childhood. And I'm no longer emabarrased to say what happened.
I was molested from 2-18 so it's only been like 2 years since it's stopped. So I am very insecure about my body.   I'm sure if I found out I was pregnant I would do everything right.

I'm just freaking out a little bit.

I have always had bodily issues (bad childhood) and have been every size between size 6 and size 14 (I fluctuate). Usually I am size 8 (when I am at least 1 year post pregnant- I've had 2 babies) so I understand what you say when you feel fat and ugly.

However, while you are pregnant or trying to conceive, your body is extremely important. What you do to it will affect the child's life forever. You need to put the child first. If you cant do that, then you aren't ready to be a mum.

Just remind yourself that the baby will be around for the rest of your life, and that you can lose the weight later.

Why not try some light exercise? Reducing your food intake is not the only way to loose weight.

Let us know how you go...
