What do they do to you when you get induced and how fast do you go into labor after it's done? My doctor said ill get induced if the baby doesn't come this week and I have no idea what to expect.

Brittak92- damn not even one centimeter dilated? That must be terrible! I'm so impatient to see my little one I really hope I go into labor real soon. Though I have a feeling I'll have to wait to get induced :/

I'm currently being induced right now. I'm a week and a day over due, what they've been doing is a mezzo pill into my vagina to soften the cervix, I'm not one centimeter dialated, and this is day two at the hospital. It's a slow process. They could use a foley bulb in your cervix to help dialate you, they are probably going to use pitocin to start contractions, which is through an Iv.

I'm actually getting ready to go on one right now! Tomorow is my due date and no sign on him yet :/

Its a medicine they put in ur iv that makes u go into labor. Its nothing bad. What u should do is walk walk walk!!! If u dont want to get induced then walk like crazy right now.
