Is it safe to become pregnant, having anxiety disorder? I don't even want to try, if the baby may be unhealthy. I also don't want to be on any meds. while pregnant. What do you think guys, should I try, or no?

I think it depends on your medical history and how severe your anxiety is.

Saying, "I don't even want to try, if the baby may be unhealthy" shows a little bit of that anxiety already, before even conceiving.

I'd talk this over with a medical professional and see if there are some natural ways to reduce your anxiety in the event you do become pregnant.

I agree with Joy.  You should discuss this with your own doctor.  Not wanting to be on meds to control your anxiety will limit your options while pregnant - you shouldnt dismiss this option without first talking to a doctor about it.

I posted earlier but my post went away..sorry if you are seeing duplicates.

I have an anxiety disorder and weaned myself off meds with the help of a doc a year before trying for a baby.  I have been calm so far because of good care and support system throughout a 32-week pregnancy.

Mom's anxiety may cause ADHD and other problems in babies.  It's important to make this decision with a mental health professional.  Good luck--
