I talked to my doc today about weight loss, I have lost a total of 6 lbs since 7 wks and he said not to worry, just to eat really healthy and focus on the nutrients passed to the baby and that weight will come in about a month (so like at 5 months weight gain comes) I was worried too but it sounds like the lack of weight gain is normal for now. and I"m 16 weeks so you are just fine hun :)
My babys heartbeat is 182 beats per min so i am hoping its healthy.
with my son my doc said he was most likely a girl because his heart rate was 175 nad then i had a clear veiw of his little manself 2 weeks later when i had the ultrasound...no mistake that he was a boy...my sisters girls all had heartrates of 170- 186....... so apparently most high heart rates are girls according to all of the baby girls that have shown up in my family...LOL
My baby's heartrate was in the 180s for a few weeks. My doc said there isn't really a heart rate that is "too high" at that early stage. His heart rate gradually went down and is now in the 140s/150s. My baby is really active which might have something to do with it. So you might just have an active squirmer!
I also lost weight during my first trimester. I didn't gain until my last check up when I was 5 mths and that was only three pounds! But my boy is fine and actually measuring a week ahead. I think as long as you don't keep losing you should be fine.
I am 11 weeks and my babys heart rate was 175..I was told that is a good heartbeat!
Hello Ladies,
Yes! Pregnancy is full of worry! I think we bring it on ourselves because we really don't have a lot of control over how things work or turn out. Most pregnant women have concerns. I think it is part of being human and a MUM! We worry about getting pregnant. About being pregnant. About our baby...and forever. If you are a worrier you are always going to find something to worry over.
I am a perinatal RN and pregnancy is what I do! A normal heart beat of a baby ranges. We want it to go up and down in a range of about 110-160 BPM. However. we also think that accelerations of the babies heart beat is HEALTHY!!
So, hearing a heart beat of 170+ beats per minute...is fine!! It can also be dependent on what you have been up to. Did you just have a big drink with something sweet in it or a coffee? If you were to have listened in an hour it probably would have been different.
Really..really...do not stress over this. If I was to assess a woman and listened to the fetal heart beat during her visit..and heard that number. I would not be concerned.
Enjoy your pregnancy!
I believe you're right.. after worrying and so much all day, I'm exhausted, I'm already tired to begin with but it seems like it makes it a little worse.. as far as how I'm feeling I'm feeling alright, the morning sickness went away and came back worse and now seems to be going away again, so I've had a few days from that.. other than that I feel pretty good.. I just can't wait to feel the baby move
My babies heartrate went as high as 183 very early on in my pregnancy. Nothing to worry about. The last 2 times I went to the doctor's, it has steadied to between 160 and 163. I know how much you worry as I am the same way!!! Hope you are feeling well other than the worrying?!!! Sometimes I think the worrying wears me out more than the pregnancy!
Yeah, my friends told me to only look at "happy" baby things. Like what I want to register for.
yep thats me.. I have always been a worrier, my Mother worries a lot so I suppose I get that from her.. so of course I research a lot... my Mother actually has some nodules in her lungs and they want her to come back in 3 months to see if they grow anymore, if not then she'll come back in 6.. she's very worried about cancer bc her father, my grandfather died from it.. she's been researching like crazy and it makes her even more upset... sometimes I'll get info that makes me feel better and then sometimes I don't.. I'm going to have to start limiting it..
you are so right about the internet..due to some probs that came up during an ultrasound,i went online to do some research..not a good idea for someone like me who is naturally anxious to begin with ..sometimes it reassures me,and sometimes it scares the h3ll out of me
Okay, thanks Ladies!! You all know me I'm a HORRIBLE WORRY WART.. like I don't think it'll ever stop, I think I'll end up being one of those Mothers who takes their baby to the dr all the time because I'll be too worried, my baby's Pediatrician will probably get sick of me calling and such.. ahh the joys of mother hood. but I couldn't be happier!
I wish I was lossing weight.LOL But when I hear the babys hb at 11w3day it was 17? and then she redid it and it was 169. SHe did say anythign about it. But Im guessing it was good. Dont worry about it!!!
I'm just like you. I'm great for like, a week after my appts. but I start to worry and get a bit obsesive I guess. It is the darn internet. Where I work is very slow and I have nothing else to do but search the net and that is what gets me all paranoid. Plus the fact that at my first appt. the first thing my midwife said to me was that 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage so I shouldn't be too surprised if it happens. I stared at her in disbelief and she said she's just trying to prepare me. That made me feel real good. My friends tell me to cut the internet out of my life unless I'm looking at baby names and baby stuff. But, anyway, my baby's rate was 170 and the doc said "excellent" so I wouldn't worry.
Yeah, I've noticed that myself.. after an appointment I'll be good for a few days because I'm coming down from a high that I felt from knowing everything is going fine, then I get to thinking and researching and it gets me worrying again.. the internet is great, and then it has its downfall I need to quit researching..
i heard the normal range is 120-175..guess it all depends on who you ask.but 174 doesnt seem like you should be worried..i know, easier said than done..as i posted in a message to you on another post, mine started at 172,and is now at 158.so me being my paranoid self is worried because its lower(even though its still within normal range)..as a mom ,we worry from the moment we find out we are pregnant, and we never stop!
my baby heart rate was 175 and the doc said thats great so i would be too worried over it...the baby's heart rate will begin to decrease gradually down to 120-160 before birth...but that takes time
i got the opposite problem with weight...im gaining quicker then i should...im waiting til i get through this m/s and can start eating normal again...hopefully then i can get it back under control
everything sounds great so far....congrats....try not to worry ;)
