Is smelly urine a symptom of pregnancy?

Hi, I have never been pregnant before and am in my 20's. Here lately my urine smells funny. Sorry, I know this is gross, but it kind of smells like cheerios or popcorn. My period is due any day and time now (don't know exactly what day). I took a pregnancy test this morning, but it was negative. Could this smell mean that I am pregnant? If not, what could it be? It's been like this for about a week now and is causing great concern.

I don't want to get your hopes up but I did a test almost 1 wk after I was due, I had been feeling slightly sick, sore breasts, slightly stinky wee - test was neg but had a hosp app same day they did a test was faint pos, had to return 2wks later was clear pos.  negs can be wrong especially if u r taking the test b4 ur due on.  Only time will tell I'm afraid.  If u do get ur period and it seems normal in consistancy and length of cycle u prob wernt pregnant.  But track down all info about ur cycle including when u get symptoms of ovulation, assuming ur trying 4 a baby this will really help timing ur fertile times.  Good luck x

Oh, one more thing, I have also been having very mild nausea that comes and goes randomly, and today it feels like I am having my period. I keep running to the bathroom to check, but nothing.
