Is spotting for this long normal?

Last week, (about 8 days ago) i began spotting and thought i was getting my period (i was possible due sometime last week , but my periods aren't regular) and have been spotting ever since. i assumed i was pregnant and took 3 home pregnancy tests and they were all positive, but i'm just worrying why i'm still spotting.  Is this normal or is there something wrong?

Hi all, I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and have been spotting and bleeding since 5 weeks. Non-stop. Baby has been fine and growing all this time. We have had 3 Serious bleeds and spotting all this time and my doc is confident that we will make it to 12 weeks and then it should stop.
I was also informed that it could be from a low laying Cervix. Just remember that you might increase the spotting after intercourse (which happened to us) as well as internal scans, they say that it agrovates the cervix which might cause the bleeding. Once 12 weeks is here the plecenta and cervix moves higher and then it should stop.
I know that it is very worrying, i will not deny that i have been worrying for the past 6 weeks, non-stop, the docs dont like any kind of bleeding.

I was also put onto progesterone tablets (Utrogestran) which has helped to control the bleed and help support the pregnancy. Maybe query with your doc regarding this, even if you dont need it, it is safe to take them. I have decided to take them for the first 12 weeks wether i bleed or not, as i have had 2 previous miscarriages in the past year.

I hope this helps

Just to be on the safe side I would call the doctor. Are you having any cramping to go with it?  I thought the same thing thing a few months ago, just think some spotting was normal but than I started to get the cramps, I soon went into the hospital and found out that I had an ectopic pregnancy and it ruptured my tube which I had to have emergency surgery and I lost my right tube. Hopefully this is NOT the case for you I hope its just on the normal side. I dont want to scare you but when it come to any kind of spotting I would call the doctor just so it may not get worse. Best of luck to you

It could be implantation bleeding. Or an early m/c. If it starts to get heavy thats what I would get worried about, just go to a doctor and get your blood taken to find out! :D good luck!!

Spotting in early pregnancy is common for some people.  I would call your ob just to be safe and have them test your progesterone and hcg levels to make sure they are rising properly. Good luck.
