I don't really think Clysta was being negative in any way. You were inaccurately taking your bbt, and she is absolutely right. If your blood test is positive, your hpt should be as well. Good luck, happy 9 months.

I never said that wasn't the purpose-- all I said was that if you had a positive test then yes, you would be pregnant. If you want a urine test confirmation for your own reasons, it should show accurate since you've already have a positive blood test, so you can take it whenever. It's just not often it happens that early. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope you have a good 9 months~~

In order to correctly take your basal body temperature, and have an accurate reading, you must only take it in the morning after you have had at least five hours of uninterrupted sleep. Moving, talking, getting up to use the restroom causes your temperature to increase and will give you an inaccurate reading. Taking it throughout the day gives you inaccurate temperatures, and you cannot use them.

Also, after ovulation, your BBT rises signifying a thermal shift and has to be high and over your coverline for at least three days to verify ovulation. It will NOT drop until you start your period. This is because when you start your period you have an estrogen surge that lowers your temp, when at ovulation, your progesterone surges causing your temp to rise.

If you have had a positive blood test, your hpt should show positive if you are pregnant. I've read where first response early result (FRER) tests can show a positive with a hCG of 12.

Throughout the day won't tell much, because any movement causes your temp to rise. When you take it in the morning you need to make sure it's before you ever move in bed, otherwise the results are skewed.

If you've had a positive hCG blood test though (your hCG is above at least 5) that is a positive pregnancy test. You only ovulated a week ago though, so I'm shocked you've had a blood test actually done already or that it was showing positive so soon. Extremely few women ever do-

Talking with my obgyn she believes that I'm pregnant and I had a hcg blood test done to confirm this and based on my last period that's the due date I was given by her.
For my own satisfaction I want to see a positive pregnancy test that's why I asked the question.
As well as I wanted other women opinions based on there experiences.
I have been taking it throughout the day and first thing when I wake up in the morning.

I'm a little confused though, as you've been posting that you're already pregnant and due in June/July.

How are you taking your temperature? I personally have not heard it being that high, but that's me. To track your temp you have to do your Basel Body temperature. This is taken early in the morning before you ever move--taking your temperature during the day won't work.

Definitely wait until at least the 18th of November. If you are pregnant, and you test too early, you will get a false negative. And use FMU. It will be the most concentrated.

Yes it is true that your body temperature goes up when you're ovulating. It can mean that you're pregnant, but not necessarily. My body temperature always stays up until my period comes, and I've been charting since the beginning of January.
