Itchy!

I itch everywhere. So bad. It is awful. I rub cocoa butter on every night after a warm shower. It seems to only make matters worse. Is this normal?

I would try switching creams and also for me if I wear tighter clothes I tend to get more itchy so maybe try some roomy t-shirts and sweat pants whenever you can

I had PUPPPS terribly. I did a big regimine to cleanse my liver and some skin care stuff. All wholistic herbs and stuff. My PUPPPS went away in about two weeks and I was itching so bad I wasn't sleeping at night. I found the list of things I did on a forum and a ladies midwife had recommended it to her. I can list the stuff I did if you all with PUPPPS would like me too. I thought I was going to be suffering until delivery and was so relieves when it went away, and I read many ladies find no relief

Warm showers add to the itching if you take a warm shower just  spend like the last 30 seconds in colder water and it should stop some of the itching

You could be having a reaction to the cocoa butter. I had the same problem and my OB said alot of girls are alergic to it. Try just using Vitamin E oil. It took almost all my stretch marks away and all the itching.

Itchy skin is very normal during pregnancy, and will be even worse duringthis time of year due to the weather and temperature.  I've been going threw it as well. I recommend the cocoa butter at least 3x a day and drinking at least 3-5 bottles of water a day.

Severe itching can be a sign of coleostasis, which is a liver condition that's very dangerous to you and baby. It could be a sign of gallbladder issues. It could be PUPPS rash (especially if you're having a boy). Call your Dr/midwife first thing in the morning and ask about it. Most likely they'll order a blood test to test your bile levels to diagnose or rule out coleostasis.
