Oh, I get really sick in my first trimester myself although I know you are out of that right now. But sometimes that's how doctors know to look for multiples is if you start gaining more than average weight quickly. Please let me know what you find out. When did you say you are having a u/s??
Well at first I had gained about 10 pounds with the first 6 weeks but since I
have been very very ill and can't keep nothing down I have been losing weight.
Sorry mannie263. I didn't even think about what Skylynns_mom said. If it is a sensitive doppler, I guess the heartbeat on the left could be yours. But if multiples run in your family, it is still very possible that there could be multiples. How much weight have you gained if any??
Well the heartbeat on the left was a little faster than the one on the left but the
one on the left wasn't really that slow either. How about if you try to do that with your
doppler and see if you hear the same thing.
Do you have the kind of doppler that tells you how fast the heart beat is, because one of those could be yours. I also am 12w and recently purchased a fetal doppler, it is very easy to pick up your own heatbeat, if it is slow then its probably you, anywhere from 120+ its the baby or in you case maybe babies. Good luck, but dont be disappointed if there is just one in there and you were picking up your heartbeat
It sounds like it could be having twins. If you are only between 12 and 14 weeks, you normally hear the heartbeat under your belly button to the right (at this stage). If you heard it on both sides (and I am no doctor of course) it sounds to me like you may have 2 babies in there!! You may want to tell your doctor about this so he can do a scan quickly. How much weight have you gained so far if any??
That would be my first step! Good luck to you both. Keep me posted.
Ihaven't had an ultrasound yet but after last night when we heard that my
husband said that's it we need to get an ultrasound he really wants to have
twins and so do I.
Have you had an ultrasound? You could be having twins or you may just have an active baby!
