Late for my period

Hey there, I'm a day late for my period and took a hpt one of those Answer Pregnancy Tests and it came up with two pink lines, one was dark pink and one was a little lighter pink.  Does that mean I'm pregnant?  I took it with first morning urine so it would be a bit more accurate but I don't know what to think about the lighter pink strip on it.  Thank you so much you guys.

Lol well I took another one this morning and not even two seconds later two blue lines showed up. Woohoo =)

When i first took my test i took first response and it tells you that one of the lines would be lighter then the other and it was, im 39 and im still in shock. well congrats to yall if thats what yall want. keep us informed. Goodluck. P.S. and i took 4 more and they all came back positive and guess what my oldest is 18 l.o.l.

False positives are very rare and don't often happen, especially on a pink dye test. If they do, it's normally on blue dye tests. Regardless of how dark/faint, a line is a line. Congrats on your pregnancy!

No, this one was easy to see, just lighter than the first line.  And it showed up way before 5-10 minutes were up.

The only time a false positive ever really happens is if you waited too long to look at the results (usually within 10 minutes of taking the test) or on a rare occasion you can have an evaporation line but these lines are usually really really really hard to see. Try testing again to make sure. I went out and bought 3 different brands to make sure I was pregnant and some of the lines were light. You can always get a digital one as well.

I've heard that you can have a false positive, is that true?  Some women will convince themselves that they are and will come out positive but their not really pregnant.

If the test says two pink lines means it's positive then you are pregnant. Your Hcg levels may not be high enough yet for you to get a very prominent line. The only way for you to get a second line is if hcg is present, which is only present if you are pregnant.
