Late ovulation = late BFP?

Okay, just a question,  Trying not to get my hopes up (Oh, who am I kidding?!?) :P

I was tracking temps this cycle till about CD 18, never had a rise or a dip.  I was on antibiotics (for strep throat) and assumed that messed w my ovulation and I didn't O this cycle.  Now, I'm thinking i may have O'd late.  I remember having a good bit of EWCM a few days after I stopped tracking temps.
So my question is, for anyone who KNOWS that they ovulated late, when did you get your BFP?  I have tested daily from 8 dpo- 15 dpo.

I am only 1 day late today, but i've *never* been late before and not pregnant. :(  I'm going nuts!!

Definitely, girl! if you look at it this way....say you normally ovulate on day 14. then you can expect your period 14 days later, day 28. but if you don't ovulate until day 16...then you have 14 days until you can expect your period, which would be day 30.

so absolutely! late ovulation means late BFP because the whole cycle is pushed back by your ovulating late. I can almost predict to the hour when my period will start by when I ovulate - I always get ovulation cramps, so once they start I can always guess within a day when my period will start. if I ovulate early, I know it's goin to be a short cycle, etc.

keep hoping!

Thanks, I am still holding out hope.  Temps are still high, but I didn't track them for a week or so,  so I missed finding out when I O'd.  It's just confusing and frustrating.... I in 20 years, I have *never* been late and NOT pregnant.  Aagh!!
Didn't test today cuz I figured i;d wasted enough $$ already. LoL

When I was tracking ovulation with my first pregnancy, I tested when my period was due - two weeks after I ovulated, and it was positive (that was the 8th month of TTC, and the only one I tracked ovulation).  I never test before it's due - too many BFN's for me - lol  I didn't ovulate late, but I do have a later cycle - that is, usually 35 days, not 28.  So, I ovulated somewhere in the CD 19-21 range, if I remember correctly.  Good luck, girl!  I know you've been having a time with TTC this time around!
