Light facial Botox during IVF Cycle

Hello. I'm really healthy, and I'm in the middle of an IVF cycle. I'm due to have the egg collection next week Friday and the transfer the following week.

I have a pre-appointment for a Botox top up, in my face only (forehead, and eyes). This is on Wednesday next week which is a few days before my egg collection, and would be a week before the egg transfer.

As the injections are just in the face, will it matter - I would like to know the medical thoughts.

Based on current research you should absolutely NOT do it

Botox comes from botulism, a poison.  I wouldn't go near it during IVF, simply because, if the IVF fails, you will always wonder if it was the Botox.

I would wait and ask your doctor. Personally I wouldn't do it just because its better safe than sorry, but its up to you and your doctor.
