Little to no amniotic fluid for 8 weeks, and still going....

So I've been through a lot with my pregnancy so far.  I'm currently 27.5 weeks pregnant.  Back in march my baby was found to have Amniotic Band Syndrome and I was sent to Cincinnati to get emergency surgery (I was 19 weeks).  The surgery went well, but I guess due to the surgery, the amniotic fluid started leaking out.  For the first 4 weeks after the surgery i was put on bedrest at home and noticed I was leaking fluid out in my sleep every 3 days.  Once I turned 24 weeks, I started leaking the fluid out all throughtout the whole day, so my doctor sent me to the hospital and from there they decided to keep me on bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy in the hospital, where they will give me a C-section at 32 weeks (the baby is in the frank breech position).  At 20-22 weeks they monitored me at having 0cm of fluid, but from 23 weeks until now I've had anywhere between 1cm-4cm of fluid.  The baby is VERY active and is passing his biophysical tests with a 6/8, minus 2 for not enough fluid.  I guess my question is, since he's been so long without sufficient amounts of fluid, but he DOES have some, is there a chance the lungs have developed a little more then they would with none?  And also what about disfiguring of limbs and things like that, like I said he's moving a lot, but there isn't a ton of room, so is it possible that he might not have disfiguring.  If ANYONE has had this happen to them or know someone who's had this happen and has any answers, PLEASE give me your input.

Thats awesome! so many times that causes horrible outcomes!   I think that since your already at 27 weeks your in good hands. Having at least SOME fluid means his lungs have been able to Develop at least SOMEWhat. :)  The entire last month of my pregnancy I was around 5cm or LESS. TJ's lungs were perfectly fine. :) he had apgars of 8 and 9.

He had bands on his ankle and all around the imbilical chord, but they got it off just in time.  They said the ankle should only have a scar (no amputation) and the imbilical chord is fine.

I had little fluid and my son was delivered with no fluid at 35w. You had the shot, so it sounds like your chances are good... Did the Amniotic band syndrome cause any problems with the baby or did they get to it in time????
