You most likely were not ovulating before and the morning after pill "kick started" your ovulation, which is why you got pregnant a couple months later. It's never advised to have unprotected sex if you don't want to get pregnant.
@soccegirl. The morning after pill is unnecessary and you don't need. You don't want to mess up your body with a huge amount of hormones.
I was never on birth control, for 8yrs !!!!!!! Never got pregnant. Took the after pill, got my period on time (all of sudden, my period was always irregular) Then 2 months later BOOM I got Preggers...........I dont think its any harm......but I truly believe its what got me pregnant now it might have been a different story if I was on Birth control....but i wasnt.
Is there a reason why you want to take Plan B? Please don't tell me it's because of the encounter you had. There is no reason or point to even consider it. 1-because that's a massive waste of $50 dollars and 2-why put those hormones into your body for no reason? It's an Emergancy Contraceptive, meant for vaginal sex with contraceptive failure. You didn't do or have ANY of this.
The morning after pill is very large dose of hormones and can do some damage. It is not meant to be used often(no more than twice a year) and only should be used in 'emergency' cases, where either the birth control failed or if you had unprotected sex. It can have a lot of negative side effects and will mess up your menstrual cycle temporarily. It is not supposed to cause a miscarriage if you are already pregnant, but they are still trying to study the effects it has on pregnancy. If you don't need to take this pill, then don't take it.
