Maternity clothes?

Hey guys,

So.. I am only 9 weeks, but I swear I am already starting to show just a little. My clothes feel tight, and I don't want to go crazy buying clothing b/c I am sure I will get much, much bigger!

And suggestions on where I could get a few things reasonable?? Please keep in mind I live on an island so I have to do all shopping via the internet! Anyone have any good links?

Thanks in advance!!

Laura

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Luckily ( I guess) I am a size 8 or 10 (not preggers) anyway, and most of my work clothing is a size medium or large. I tend to buy clothing that is more "loose" fitting. I am not having any issues just yet, just certain things are starting to feel snug. It's kinda like I have always had a little bit of a "belly" that I was able to suck in before, now there is no sucking it in! =)

I personally love target and motherhood... I am only 7 weeks and I dont fit in any of my pants... I wear my scrub pants around the house most of the time and when I go out fortunately I have a pair of target maternity shorts from last summer i can wear.. they are big but i hate tight clothes....

Just a comment about the belly band.. If you get one make sure you buy it big.  i got a small and I was a size 0 before preg and im 21 weeks now and it is very snug.  I still fit into all of my pre preg. jeans without buttoning them but I wish I would have gotten a medium belly band because it makes it hard to breath sometimes.

You can find Motherhood Maternity clothes at Gordmans if you don't have an actual store near you. But yeah, I agree with everything else everyone said. You can always check yard sales and craigslist, freecycle, and ebay! Clothes are usually in S, M, L so try on clothes before you order anything online. You'll get better deals online.

I mc'd at 11 weeks and by 8 weeks I had a h*ll of a time getting into my clothes!  I ended up buying a couple pairs of pants that were not maternity but just the next size up and that did the trick...I have heard great things about Old Navy, Target and Motherhood...Good luck!

Oh yeah...I have also heard of that band...check it out and then tell us how you like it =)

They have many names...tummy tube, belly band.  Go online to www.motherhood.com and you will see them.

Since you are still small I would go to motherhood maternity and get a tummy tube.  They fit over your regular pants so that you can wear your pants unbuttoned.  They hold them up and flatten out the top so you can't tell that your pants are open.  After that I would get my maternity clothes mostly from old navy and motherhood.  I even was able to pull off some regular tops from forever 21.  Most shirts now are babydoll style.  Pants I had to wear maternity almost immediately.  As I got further along though I had to wear maternity shirts because the front would ride up and my belly would hang out underneath.

Target and Old Navy have cute maternity clothes, you might be able to try their websites.
