Measuring Bigger!

I went to the doctor friday morning and she measured my belly and told me I was measuring a couple weeks ahead. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Could this mean there is a big chance I could go in labor way sooner than April 26th, which is my due date? Or does it just mean my little girl is big and healthy? Or both? :)

ha...yeah I know. I really hope I get to get one! I dont understand why I cant just request to have one...why can we only get one if needed??? ugh! I want to see her so bad :)
But yeah everyone does grow different. I am just glad to hear she is healthy.

Ha ha!!! It's always nice to have a non-threatening excuse to see the little one! I, too, got an ultrasound because I was measuring bigger and the u/s was over an hour long! They measured every little organ and bone. Anyway, afterwards my doc explained the fundal height thing and how everyone's uterus grows differently.

I had an u/s at 18wk and 2d. That is how far along the u/s said I was. I havent had one since then though. My doctor said when I come back in 2 weeks that she will measure me again and determine if I need to get another u/s. I hope I do so I can see my how big she has gotten :)

I am 29w2d and measuring bigger. If I don't deliver early, my Dr will induce.

I measured 2 weeks ahead and my daughter was born 2 days before her due date.

The thing about measuring the fundal height is that every single woman is different. If you have a long waist then you'll most likely measure smaller because the uterus is deep inside still. But a woman with a shorter waist (like me) will have her belly stick out farther because it has nowhere else to go but out, thus a larger fundal height throughout pregnancy. So you are just unique and you may have your baby sooner!

Have you had an u/s to see if your dates are off?

Yep i had this at my appointment a couple of weeks ago and was wondering the same thing. I was 25 weeks and measuring 26 weeks so i was a touch confused as to what it meant.
