Membranes Stripped w/menstrual like cramping after!!!

I had my check up yesterday at 1:15, im 38 wks will be 39 sunday! I am 2 to 2 1/2 cem dilated and 70% effaced. My dr was able to strip my membranes really really well. All day yesterday afterwards I was having menstrual like cramping, was really hoping last night would have been the night. But again no!! Still alil crampy this am. What is everyone experience with the memnranes stripping? If your body is ready and it worked for you, how did you feel before you went into labor? And how long after did it take?

I had my membranes stripped and went into labor within 48 hours!  My doctor told me if it was going to work it would be within that time frame most likely.

I had mine done twice, both times it was campy.  at 41 weeks my body wasn't ready and after a day or two the campy feeling went away for the most part.  Although at that point everything is campy to begin with, lol.  Then at about 42 weeks I had it done again and had some cramps, then with in 3 hours had contractions 10 min apart.  It's different for everyone how it works, and it seems that if your body isn't ready it won't work.

I've had my membranes stripped once.  It was done on a thursday, I cramped and had bloody mucus that night and over the next few days the cramps increased into contractions and more bloody mucus, I went into full on labor Monday afternoon.
