Methylprednisolone and pregnancy

I may be overworrying, but I am several days late for my period. I am usually very regular and am not on birth control pills. I have not taken a pregnancy test yet, because I don't want to be paranoid, but I just finished a week-long Methylprednisolone treatment for back pain. Do I need to rush to take a pregnancy test? I have read that there is some research that suggests a connection between corticosteroids and cleft palate. What do I need to do? Should I call my doctor?

Thank you, ladies!! I called my OBGYN's nurse and she said corticosteroids can throw off your period and even make you SKIP a period!! EWW! I hate meds!! Whew. So I'm going to wait on taking a pregnancy test for awhile... But get the word out on those steroids. Ew. :( Thanks again for your help!!

You should go to a doctor after you take a home pregnancy test , it it comes out negative, go to the doctor to completely rule out pregnancy. and if its positive =) congrats but it could be wrong so still go.
