Missed second period after pregnancy

hi,
i have one child, I had my baby on the 10th june 2010, i had my first period post pregnancy on the 8th August 2010, it is now the 20th Sept and i have not had a period for 43 days.
I did a pregnancy test which was negative. but when i was pregnant with my daughter the first 3 tests were false.
we have been fairly careful and am very confused if i am pregnant again or not.

I just noticed this post was from a few weeks ago...did you end up having a period?

I'm going through the exact same thing...had baby June 24th..had my first period August 13th and it's now October 1 and haven't had another period yet. I have been spotting very very lightly for three weeks and cramping like it's going to start but so far nothing. Getting really worried but my doctor says after you have a baby it takes time for your body and hormones to go back to normal.

my sister juss had a baby feb 15th 2010 and she had told me she be late off and on she didnt have a period in july and aug. and she took pregnancy test all came back negative and this month she finaly started so yes it does take some time and it also depends on if u r stressed

I believe after you have a baby it can take some
time for your periods to regulate again. (someone correct me if I'm wrong though please) If you suspect pregnancy, see a doctor for a beta blood test to check your hCG levels.
