Mucous Plug?

I am currently 32/33 weeks pregnant. Sorry in advance for TMI ...lol
I am on bedrest due to threatend preterm labor and on anti contraction medication... have had the steriod shots to mature babies lungs.  As of last Wednesday, I was same status as I was when this whole thing started.  Cervix is 2 inches long and I am dilated to 1cm.  
I have not noticed any increase of discharge (just normal) or anything weird when I wipe.  But, I see chunks of what looks like snot in the toilet when I go to the bathroom.  Looks like it could be white/clear.  Is this my mucous plug? It's maybe there once or twice a day when I pee.  (I even look into the toilet before I pee and after before I put the toilet paper in).  Has anyone else lost theirs this way... and so soon?

I very well could be your mucus plug.  It's not uncommon to lose parts of it this early.  The good thing abuot a mucus plug is that it can regenerate itself.  This is why some people swear their plug must be the size of mt. everest...they lose some, it regenerates, they lose it again etc. I've heard of many woman, but know of one personally who lost a good bit of her plug at 32 weeks...she ended up being induced on her due date.

I agree with GA (as usual, LOL). I started losing my plug at like 31wks and I mean HUGE CHUNKS...it slowed down at around 33wks but now I'm back to losing chunks either on the toilet paper or in the actual bowl....and it happened this way with my daughter too and I didn't have her until exactly 40wks. The only time you'll want to call your doctor is if it's bloody or streaked heavily with brown because that can indicate "bloody show" which is generally a good indicator of early labor..otherwise...it's just gross, lol.

Thanks for the responses you are right about the gross part...LOL I wasn't too concerned because it's only white/clear, but just curious.  I didn't know it can regenerate... a never ending supply even grosser haha =)

I stated losing mine at 35-36 weeks. and although it was mostly on the toilet paper, i did notice there would be some in the toilet too..  so all very normal, and it was all clear and white.  but then the night before labor there was blood in it. and it does suck that it regnenerates itself.. mine came for a month, and i mean alot of it. it got so annoying!

I am 33 weeks as well and on bedrest for preterm labor - I have the cervical stitch and take progesterone shots weekly to keep my cervix long - last checked at 28 weeks it was 2cm long - but I am 2 cm dialated - my guess it looks like a black hole!  Anyway - I do get the green snot thing once in a while - the only time I was concerned was when I was 24/25 weeks and there was bright red blood in it.. turned out I pulled through the stitch - They do regenerate from what I have been told and yes... I think all preggo woman look in the potty and on the tp after using!!  We are either hoping nothing is there because it is too early - or please lord.... let something be there because we are done!!!
