Mucus Plug

Question

I am 34weeks 2 days right now and I believe I am starting to lose my mucus plug. I have a sticky discharge that is unlike anything I have had so far. It is not discolored but I think it may be the onset of losing it. Has anyone else started to lost it this soon or is this something I should worry about. From what I read it sounds like it can start a few weeks before you give labor but really shouldnt start until around 36 weeks.

Lol yeah I know what you mean, I'm only 31 weeks and already lost mine I'm like eeekk! I don't wana have him yet.

I'm almost 35 weeks and I started loosing my. Mucus plug yesterday... I had an appointment today and I talked to my doc ... she said that I shouldn't worry...but I am lol. Hopefully the baby stays in there for another couple of weeks :)

Thank you. I just dont want to worry about things too early along. With my first pregnancy I didnt lose it until around 37 weeks but it looked the same just more than I am having right now. I will wait a little bit to see how it progresses for me.

With my first pregnancy I had my son at 36 weeks and lost my mucus plug the night before.

It probably is your mucus plug. It doesn't always have to be any different color. Just more discharge or different than what your used to having. I am only 31 weeks and already lost mine. This is ny second pregnancy and i lost mine the same with my first. It was thicker and a lil brownish, then just clear and mucus like lol but I think you should call your doc just to let them know because without the mucus plug your cervix is open and you could possibly get an infection, I haven't and didn't with my first. Also if you have contractions now you could start to dialate. So i would just call and let the doc know what has been going on. Mine wanted ne to be checked after i lost mine.
